Product Description from Image
Turn product photos into draft product copy and matching alt text, ready for Shopify or WooCommerce. Your images never leave this device.
0 images sent anywhereEverything runs on this device. Your images never leave this computer.
Needs desktop Chrome (Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS). On a phone or another browser, open this page on your computer. Chrome downloads its AI model once, which varies in size and needs about 22 GB of free disk space.
How it works
Add your product photos, one by one or as a whole catalogue. Each image is processed by the AI built into Chrome on your own computer, so new products stay private until you publish them.
For each photo the tool drafts a short product description based on what is visible: the item, material, colour, shape and details, plus alt text for the product page. It describes what it can see, and does not invent specifications, so add sizes, prices and claims yourself.
Review and edit the copy, then export the batch as a CSV laid out for Shopify or WooCommerce, or as JSON for WordPress. You still match rows to your products when you import, so check the file before you upload it.
The first time you use it, Chrome downloads its on-device AI model. The download size varies, and Chrome needs about 22 GB of free disk space to install it. The model is shared by every site that uses it, so you only set it up once. It needs desktop Google Chrome (Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS) with its built-in AI available. Phones and other browsers are not supported yet.

Frequently asked questions
Will it make up product specifications?
It is asked to describe only what can be seen in the photo. Even so, a small model can get details wrong. Always add real sizes, materials, prices and care instructions yourself and review the copy before publishing.
Can I import the results into Shopify or WooCommerce?
Yes. Export the batch as a CSV laid out for Shopify or WooCommerce, or as JSON for WordPress. You will need to match the rows to your products by handle, SKU or image file name, so check the file before importing.
Does it write alt text for the product images too?
Yes. This preset produces product copy and alt text together. The alt text is short and factual, which also helps your product images show up in image search.
Is the copy unique enough for SEO?
The text is generated from your own photo, so it is not copied from a manufacturer. Search engines reward helpful pages, so treat the draft as a starting point and add details only you know.
Can I keep my supplier photos private?
Yes. Images are read and processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded, so unreleased products and supplier assets stay on your device.
How many products can I process?
There are no credits or daily limits. The batch runs one image at a time on your computer, so large catalogues take longer on slower machines. You can pause or stop at any point and keep the finished results.
